Background:
Atze Boerstra is professor of building service system innovation at the faculty of architecture and the built environment of the TU Delft. Part time he also works in practice at BBA Binnenmilieu as senior consultant specialized in indoor air quality, thermal comfort and ‘healthy building’. Atze studied mechanical engineering at the TU Delft and he obtained his PhD at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2016. He has 30 years of experience investigating buildings with indoor climate problems and developing requirements and indoor climate concepts for new buildings. He is fellow of REHVA (the European Federation of Heating, Ventilation and Airconditioning Associations), member of the supervision board of ISSO and honorary member of TVVL, the Dutch knowledge platform for installation technology.
